The agent of Liverpool forward Dirk Kuyt have revealed that the Reds chiefs are not interested in selling his client.
The Dutchman has lost his starting berth with the arrival of Kenny Dalglish and he is repeatedly linked with a move away from the club.
Roma and Fiorentina have already expressed interest in signing the Netherlands international, but the player’s representative claims that Liverpool would rather keep the player at Anfield.
“A large number of clubs in Europe hold a real interest in Dirk and it’s true that there are clubs in Italy”, Kuyt’s agent Rob Jansen told Dutch newspaper De Telegraaf.
“But Liverpool won’t let Dirk go.”
The 31-year-old moved to Anfield in the summer of 2007 and immediately became a key player for the Reds.
He enjoyed a lot of success during the first five years at the club, but has seen his chances limited after the arrival of Kenny Dalglish.
The player, who failed to score a single goal in 19 league games this season, is now seriously pondering his options and could decide to leave Anfield in the summer.
