FC Porto star Jackson Martinez is highly unlikely to move clubs in the winter transfer window, according to the striker’s official representative.
Both AC Milan and Tottenham have been linked with moves for the Colombia international, but it appears they will have to wait until the summer.
Namely, Martinez’s agent has made it clear that his client will stay at Estadio do Dragao at least until the end of the season.
“He is happy. He wants to be the champion and go far in the Champions League,” agent Henrique Pompeu told A Bola.
“There is much talk, but he has an agreement with FC Porto and will respect it. He does not leave in January!”
Jackson Martinez has become one of world’s most sought-after forwards and everything suggests he will soon be leaving the Dragons for a top European club.
The 28-year-old has been one of the most prolific forwards in top European leagues ever since he joined Porto from Chiapas, bagging 54 goals in 71 league appearances.
Martinez hasn’t quite managed to prove his worth on international stage, scoring mere 9 goals in 34 appearances for Colombia.
