Brazilian forward Roberto Firmino will be leaving Hoffenheim at the end of the season, according to his official representative.
The 23-year-old is reportedly on the radar of quite a few top European clubs and it is only a matter of time before he leaves his current employers for greener pastures.
Even though Firmino signed a contract extension until June 2017 a year ago, it is now clear that he will be sold in the summer transfer window.
The forward’s agent has confirmed that his client is bracing himself for a new challenge.
“We had agreed that Roberto could only leave in the summer when Hoffenheim agreed a transfer fee with a club. Regardless of whether TSG play in Champions League or Europa League,” agent Roger Wittmann confessed to Bild.
According to the latest reports, the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United, Borussia Dortmund, Bayern, Wolfsburg, Schalke, Atletico Madrid, Inter, AC Milan, Juventus and Zenit are all in the race for Firmino’s signature.
After suffering a costly defeat to Schalke, Hoffenheim are 3/4 favourites to see off struggling Hamburger SV at home.
