The agent of Chelsea winger Kevin de Buryne has confirmed speculations linking the talented player with a summer move to Werder Bremen.
Genk sold the highly rated midfielder to Chelsea last January for a fee of €8 million, but the player was immediately loaned to the Belgian side.
With the competition for places in attack still fierce at Stamford Bridge, the Belgian international could again be farmed out on loan to gain some first team experience.
Bundesliga side Werder Bremen are hoping to take advantage of the situation and the player’s representative confirm the Weserstadion outfit are showing interest in his client.
“It’s true. Werder are interested at the moment,” agent Patrick de Koster explained to Bild.
Kevin de Bruyne has spent his entire career at Genk and has scored a total of 16 goals in 96 league appearances for the Belgian giants.
Last season was by far his best up to date, given that he bagged 8 goals in just 28 league games.
