Atletico Madrid and Valencia are both showing interest in Malaga midfielder Jeremy Toualan, according to the player’s representative.
Toulalan, 29, had expressed his desire to leave los Boquerones last summer, but the club officials eventually persuaded him to remain at La Rosaleda.
After missing the start to the season through injury, the Frenchman has returned into action, with his solid showings not going unnoticed.
Toualan’s representative has now moved to confirm reports linking his client with Atletico Madrid and Valencia.
“The interest from Atletico in Toulalan is very strong, but there is nothing done. Valencia have also asked after him,” agent Michael Manuello told reporters.
Malaga are so far resisting temptation to cash in on their prized asset, although they may not be able to refuse a big money offer should one come along.
Since joining the club in an €11 million move from Lyon, Toulalan has made 35 La Liga appearances for los Boquerones and scored 3 goals.
Earlier today, Malaga have announced that star midfielder Isco has signed a new deal with the club.
