Udinese midfielder Mauricio Isla is being followed by Liverpool, the player’s agent has revealed.
The 23-year-old is widely considered as one of the best full-backs in Italian Serie A and he is expected to leave Friuli at the end of the season.
The player, who can also play as a central midfielder, is believed to be closely monitored by Liverpool, and these reports have now been confirmed by the player’s representative.
“I believe that he is being watched by Liverpool and by other clubs from Italy.” Leonardo Rodriguez was quoted as saying in International Business Times.
“I can´t be sure that any clubs are getting in contact (with Udinese).”
Udinese’s transfer policy is such that every single player is for sale, so everything suggests that the Zebrette will be looking to cash in on their star player in the summer.
“Near the next market we will be able to inform with more accuracy,” Rodriguez added.
Isla joined Udinese from Universidad Catolica in the summer of 2007 and soon made his senior debut for the Serie A outfit.
The player has since featured in 127 Serie A games for the Friulani, and scored 6 goals in the process.
