The agent of Internacional striker Leandro Damiao has confirmed Milan have opened negotiations to sign the highly rated forward.
The Milan officials are intensively searching for new signings after they sanctioned the sale of Thiago Silva and Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Paris Saint-Germain.
The Rossoneri seem to have made their minds when it comes to signing a replacement for the Swedish striker and they have already entered talks with representatives of Internacional star Leandro Damiao.
The player’s agents arrived to Milan yesterday to negotiate a possible deal and one of them has confirmed the speculation linking his client with a move to San Siro.
“We talked, it was a provisional meeting. Milan seem interested and we will meet again later,” agent Vinicius Frates told reporters in Milan.
Leandro Damiao was heavily linked with a move to Tottenham last January, but the transfer never materialized.
The player, who scored 14 goals in 19 league games this season, has made Brazil’s Olympics squad and is set to take part at the Men’s Football Tournament in Great Britain.
