The agent of Genoa keeper Mattia Perin has confirmed that Napoli are closely following the talented goalkeeper.
The Italy Under-21 international has enjoyed a bright start to his loan spell at Pescara, having piped experienced goalie Ivan Pelizzoli to the starting berth.
Perin’s impressive showings in Serie A have seen him linked with a move to San Siro, but his representative now reveals Napoli are also keen.
“Napoli, like many top clubs, send scouts to view promising young players.Perin is one of those monitored by Napoli too,” agent Moreno Roggi told Radio CRC.
“He is owned by Genoa and is only 19 years old, but is destined for greatness. Perin is a top quality goalkeeper.”
Perin began his career at Genoa and he was handed a first team debut for the Rossoblu in May 2011.
He was farmed out on loan to Padova in the summer of 2011 and managed to make 25 Serie B appearances for the club.
Perin was then loaned to Pescara at the start of the current season and has managed to prove his worth in Italy’s top flight.
The 19-year-old has played for various Italy youth sides and has made two appearances for Italy Under-21 team.
