Serie A giants Napoli are hot on the trail of Paris Saint-Germain full-back Thomas Meunier, according to the player’s official representative.
The 26-year-old has shown a great deal of promise since joining from Club Brugge, but he has played second fiddle to Dani Alves of late.
Meunier has made it clear that he will stay at the club at least until the summer, but PSG face a fight to keep hold of the Belgium international.
The right-back’s agent has moved to reveal that Napoli attempted to recruit his client last summer and they remain interested in his services.
“Last year the Napoli interest was very concrete. At the moment, it is difficult for Meunier to leave PSG,” agent Michelangelo Minieri told Radio Crc.
“I can confirm that Napoli are interested in the player, there have been minor contacts without concrete proposals.”
While scoring 3 goals in 7 Ligue 1 outings for PSG this term, Meunier managed impressive 5 goals and 7 assists in eight 2018 World Cup qualifiers.
