The agent of Maribor striker Robert Beric has confirmed reports linking his client with a move to San Paolo.
The 21-year-old has caught attention of Europe’s top clubs with his impressive showings in Europe this season and it is only a matter of time before he leaves his current club.
Reports in Italy suggested that Napoli were pondering a bid for the player’s services, and Beric’s representative has now confirmed that the Azzurri are following his client.
“Beric is a player who works hard and I am not surprised that interest in him is growing,” agent Amir Ruznic told Radio CRC.
“I’m aware that Napoli know him well, but up to this point nobody from that club has contacted me. That is, however, no obstacle to a deal being struck further down the line.”
Robert Beric began his career at Interblock, but it was at Maribor that he made a name for himself.
The forward has scored a total of 18 goals in 68 league appearances for the club, and he has been especially impressive this term.
While netting four times in ten league games, Beric also scored 5 goals in 9 European matches this term.
