Agent confirms Perisic close to Inter
Wolfsburg winger Ivan Perisic has received a mega money offer from Inter Milan, his official representative has moved to suggest.
The Nerazzurri have made the Croatia star one of their primary targets and they have clearly managed to convince the player to join.
Even if the two clubs have yet to agree on a transfer fee, Perisic’s representative believes a deal can be done.
“Ivan has a fantastic deal on the table and he’s very interested,” agent Tonci Martic told German newspaper Bild.
“If Inter can agree terms with Wolfsburg, he can move. Roberto Mancini desperately wants Ivan. Inter is a great club, so that’s a compliment for any player.
“We need to talk to (sporting director) Klaus Allofs. We respect Wolfsburg, but I don’t know if they will release him. It might be a good deal for all concerned.”
Ivan Perisic joined Wolfsburg from Borussia Dortmund and went on to score 20 goals while producing 16 assists in 84 league appearances.
Marseille in talks with Diarra
Marseille have opened talks with French midfielder Lassana Diarra, according to France Football.
OM have so far recruited the likes of Karim Rekik, Lucas Ocampos, Yohan Pelle, Kevin N’Koudou and Bouna Sarr, but they have yet to sign a replacement for Gianelli Imbula.
With one of their top targets Idrissa Gueye moving to Aston Villa, Marseille are now showing interest in free agent Lassana Diarra.
Coach Marcelo Bielsa has told the club officials to start the talks with the former Real Madrid midfielder, although he wants to test the player’s fitness levels before any agreement is reached.
Lassana Diarra has been a free agent since leaving Lokomotiv Moscow last summer and he has since been linked with quite a few Premier League clubs.
A return to French Ligue 1 would probably be a good career move for him seeing as the former France international last played a competitive game in May 2014.
Valencia close on Venezuelan striker
Spanish giants Valencia are stepping up their efforts to sign Venezuelan attacker Ronaldo Pena, Superdeporte can reveal.
Los Che scouts have been impressed with the 18-year-old footballer and the sporting department is now working on the deal that should see the youngster move to Mestalla.
Valencia plan to invite Pena to spend some time in their youth squad under the guidance of Curro Torres so that they can take a closer look at their target.
The Venezuelan usually operates as a second striker, but he can also play on the right wing and his style of play reminds people of his Real Madrid namesake.
Ronaldo Pena began his career at Caracas, making four league appearances for the club, before joining Portuguesa last summer.
He has since featured in eight league matches, while also representing Venezuela at the Under-19 and Under-21 levels.
