The agent of Milan midfielder Clarence Seedorf has confirmed that his client is likely to leave the Rossoneri at the end of the season.
The veteran midfielder has a contract until the end of the season at San Siro and everything suggests he will not be signing a contract extension, just like his teammates Alessandro Nesta, Gennaro Gattuso and Filippo Inzaghi.
The player’s representative explains that the Dutchman will soon make a decision on his future.
“He will make a decision on his future within 15 days,” agent Giovanni Branchini told O Globo.
The Brazilian newspaper claims Botafogo have shown interest in the 36-year-old, but the player’s representative reveals Seedorf wants to continue playing at the highest level.
“His biggest worry, considering his curriculum, is to maintain the prestige and play at a high level.
“He must now resolve a few things, as he still has many ties in Italy. In any case, he will not transfer to a different Serie A club.”
The Dutch midfielder joined Milan from arch rivals Inter in a big money move in August 2002, and he has since become a real icon at San Siro.
Ten seasons and numerous trophies later, Seedorf looks set to leave the Rossoneri as he aims to embark on a new challenge.
