The agent of Barcelona midfielder Xavi Hernandez has refuted claims that his client is pondering summer exit.
Spanish daily AS yesterday revealed that Paris Saint-Germain were planning an assault on the Spain international.
However, the player’s agent has now rejected transfer talk by saying that Xavi has no interest in leaving Camp Nou.
“Xavi is under contract until 2014 with the club and leaving the Catalan club is not among his plans,” Ivan Corretja told Radio Monte Carlo.
The experienced midfielder is well known for his loyalty to Barcelona, and that is probably one of the reasons why he has spent his entire playing career at Camp Nou.
Xavi was handed a first team debut in August 1998, when he scored in the Super Cup final against Mallorca.
The midfielder has since amassed 377 La Liga appearances for the Catalans, and scored 44 goals in the process.
The 32-year-old is also one of the highest capped players in the history of the national team, having featured in 107 games for La Furia Roja.
