There has been a lot of talk recently about the prospects for the future of Juan Foyth at Tottenham Hotspur. Apparently, Barcelona are interested in the young defender, but head coach Jose Mourinho refused to sanction a sale in January. Now, however, his agent doubts Foyth will be in north London for much longer.
The 22-year-old joined Spurs from Estudiantes in the summer of 2017 for just over £10 million. Since then he has made only 32 appearances in all competitions, despite his capability to perform well both as a centre-back and on the right defensive flank.
Claudio Curti, who represents Foyth, told TalkSPORT that everything that has been going on with his client in recent months makes his future with Spurs doubtful. He refused to comment on the way Mourinho is running his team, but he feels it’s clear that the coach’s plans regarding Foyth have changed.
He also said that there were still talks to be held with the club to clarify the situation.
