(GSM) – Mario Götze will not be leaving Borussia Dortmund in the near future, according to the player’s agent.
The 18-year-old has not only made a break through in the first team but impressed in the Bundesliga this season, scoring twice.
Following his performances, the attacking midfielder is expected to be named in Joachim Löw’s Germany squad for next week’s friendly against Sweden.
Götze’s form has also led to rumours that a number of high-profile clubs are monitoring his situation at Dortmund.
But Götze’s representative Volker Struth has stated that player intends to remain at Westfalenstadion for the foreseeable future.
Struth told calciomercato.it: “I heard of the interest from Juventus and AC Milan for Gotze but there are many teams interested.
“There is also Real Madrid and other English and German clubs, but Mario will not move from Dortmund.
“He renewed his contract last month until 2014 and I can assure that he will remain in Borussia again for many seasons.
“We think it’s best for the boy, he is only 18 years old and lives with his parents a few miles from the stadium. His departure is almost impossible.”
Götze rose through the youth ranks of Dortmund and made his debut for Die Borussen last season.
So far he has managed 16 appearances for the club, and has found the net four times including two in the Europa League.
