The agent of Udinese goalkeeper Samir Handanovic has revealed that he client was followed by Manchester United and Bayern Munich.
The European giants were both keen on the Slovenian international, but they ultimately decided to pursue other targets.
“Samir was on the wish lists of two great clubs,” Federico Pastorello told RAI.
“Bayern Munich and Manchester United were keen but they decided otherwise. Although these doors have now closed, I’m sure Samir will have other opportunities in the future.”
Pastorello says that if Handanovic decides to leave Udinese, it will be to join a big European club.
“Samir has clear ideas, if he does leave Udinese it will only be for a top club. I think a goalkeeper of his quality is worth around €15 million.”
