Agent: Juan staying at Roma

The agent of Roma defender Juan has moved to deny speculations linking his client with a move away from the club.

Michele Gerbino says his client is happy at Roma despite interest from Werder Bremen and Flamengo.

“There is absolutely no problem between Juan and Roma. He has two years left on his deal and he wants to stay,” Michele Gerbino said.

“He’s happy at Roma and in Rome. He has a good relationship with his teammates and we are ready to remain.

“As far as we are concerned, Roma are Juan’s future. The only reason why there are these rumours circulating about him is because he’s a player that many clubs would want.”

Gerbino did say he was yet to meet the club’s new owners to talk about Juan’s future.

“We’ll see what they have to say once they are operational. I think they will meet up with the agents of all their players.

“It’ll be a meeting where we will be told what they think of Juan.”
