The agent of Lazio goalkeeper Fernando Muslera, Daniel Fonseca has revealed that his client will leave Olimpico when his current contract expires.
The Uruguayan shot stopper wanted a new and improved deal but he has now set his sights on leaving the club after the negotiations broke down.
“Muslera will no longer be the Lazio goalkeeper,” former Juventus striker Daniel Fonseca told La Repubblica.
“If president Claudio Lotito now doesn’t find a solution for him then he will leave in 2012, at the end of his contract, on a free transfer.”
Despite being the club’s third highest earner with €1.4 million per season, Muslera demanded a pay rise from club management, but it looks as though his demands have fallen on deaf ears.
