Agent: Napoli inquired about Rossi

Agent of Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi has revealed that Napoli have expressed interest in his client.

The 24-year-old was heavily linked with a return to Italy in the summer transfer window, with Juventus and Napoli showing interest in his services.

Villarreal ultimately decided to keep hold of their star player, but they could reconsider his situation in January.

The player’s agent has revealed that Napoli have inquired about his client.

“Sure, the Napoli president, Mr. De Laurentiis, has asked about his situation, but, at this moment, the player is happy in Spain,” Federico Pastorello told Radio Kiss Kiss.

“He will only leave Villarreal for a big club, but in football you never say never.”
