The agent of Miroslav Klose has dismissed reports the Lazio striker had a bust-up with club sporting director Igli Tare.
The 33-year-old sat out Wednesday’s Serie A win over AC Milan with a reported thigh problem but there have been subsequent reports that he missed the game at the Stadio Olimpico because of a falling out with the Albanian.
It was suggested the pair had clashed over the club’s lack of activity during the January transfer window, with Klose said to have been upset with the failure to add any high-profile players to a squad that even coach Edy Reja has said is overstretched.
But the player’s representative, Alex Shuett, said there was no argument and the player’s leg injury was legitimate.
“There was no clash between Klose and Tare,” he told Il Corriere dello Sport.
“They are only rumours and inventions (of the media). Miro did not play just because he had hurt his leg again.”
Klose has proven a revelation since arriving in Rome from Bayern Munich last year, having scored 12 goals in 19 Serie A appearances.
