The agent of Arsenal forward Andrei Arshavin claims that his client has received no offers during January transfer window.
The 30-year-old was linked with a January exit after he lost his starting place, with a number of Russian clubs showing interest in his services.
Even if Russian Premier League clubs are still allowed to sign new players, the player’s representative insists his client is likely to remain at the Emirates.
“Officially there wasn’t an approach and Arshavin doesn’t have an offer either,” Phil Smith told Russian daily Sovetsky Sport.
“The club have said they want to keep Arshavin and the player has said he wanted to stay.
“So I think it’s not a topic. It’s true the Russian transfer window is still open, but it’s closed in Europe.
“It’s not usual for club to sell their players at this time.”
Arshavin has fallen behind Theo Walcott and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain in the pecking order at the Emirates and he was expected to return to Russia this winter.
However, it appears that the Russian international decided to stay with the Gunners and fight for his place in Arsene Wenger’s side.
Arshavin joined Arsenal from Zenit in February 2009, but he never quite managed to prove his worth in English Premier League.
The experienced forward has mostly been restricted to substitute appearances this season, and he scored just one goal in 18 league games.
