The agent of manager Rafael Benitez claims that his client is ready to listen to offers, including the one from Stamford Bridge.
The former Liverpool boss is being mentioned as one of the favourites to replace Andre Villas-Boas and he could be offered a short-term deal until the end of the season.
While Benitez’s representative denies any contact with Chelsea, he reveals that his client is ready to talk to interested clubs.
“He is open to discuss any important options at the moment. So far there is no offer from Chelsea,” Manuel Garcia Quilon told Spanish news agency EFE.
“We’ve heard the rumours but they are not true – we have had no contact.”
The Spaniard has been a free agent since he was dismissed by Inter in December 2010 and he is now ready to embark on a new adventure.
Benitez could now return for a second spell in the English Premier League, having spent six years coaching Liverpool between 2004 and 2010, leading the Reds to the Champions League trophy in 2005.
