Lyon midfielder Yoann Gourcuff is reportedly on the radar of Europe’s top clubs, according to his official representative.
The 28-year-old hasn’t quite managed to prove his worth at Stade Gerland, but he was consistently linked with a move away from the club.
Gourcuff’s agent has now suggested that the likes of Manchester City, Liverpool and Atletico Madrid all attempted to recruit his client.
“In any transfer window some foreign clubs do come knocking at the door of Yoann”, Didier Poulmaire told Sport Mediaset.
“In the past it was Manchester City, who came forward and this year it happened to be Liverpool and Atletico Madrid.
“The top clubs are aware of his talent and I am sure there will be transfer offers for him during the next window too.”
Once considered one of world’s most talented footballers, the Frenchman has seen his stock fall massively over the last couple of years.
Numerous injuries certainly did not help Gourcuff realise his undoubted potential, with the midfielder failing to amass more than 18 league appearances in any of the five seasons at Stade Gerland.
Lyon have so far resisted temptation to cash in on one of their highest earners, but they might be ready to consider the sale in the summer transfer window.
