Italian well known agent Enzo Bronzetti claims that Juventus and Paris Saint-Germain are interested in signing Real Madrid forward Gonzalo Higuain.
The Argentine is not entirely happy with his status at Santiago Bernabeu and could request to leave at the end of the season.
According to Bronzetti, Gonzalo Higuain is one of the players on Juventus’ shortlist for the summer transfer window.
“Juventus are looking for a player similar to Giuseppe Rossi, but not him. They want someone more powerful like Higuain,” Bronzetti told Sky Sport 24.
The agent revealed that Paris Saint-Germain could also enter the race for the player’s signature.
“However, if Juventus are interested, there is greater competition, especially from Paris Saint Germain.”
Bronzetti explains that Higuain is not happy playing second fiddle to Karim Benzema.
“The player wants to play, but Jose Mourinho prefers Benzema, which is why he could leave.”
Higuain joined Real Madrid in a €12 million move from River Plate in January 2007, but he has since failed to live up to the high expectations at Santiago Bernabeu.
The Argentine did enjoy two very successful campaigns before losing his place to Karim Benzema last term, and Jose Mourinho continues to prefer the Frenchman for the centre forward position.
In spite of starting just 9 La Liga games this season, Higuain has already scored 14 league goals.
