Lyon midfielder Yoann Gourcuff has been in talks with quite a few top European sides, according to his official representative.
With his contract at Stade Gerland set to expire in June, everything suggests the former France international will be leaving les Gones on a free transfer.
And while the midfielder’s high wage demands and poor injury record have put off several high-profile sides, his agent is adamant top clubs are lining up for his client’s services.
“Few players of Yoann’s talent are free agents,” agent Didier Poulmaire told Le Parisien.
“Top clubs have informed me of their interest,” Poulmaire added, suggesting he was in talks with “at least a dozen” clubs.
It is no secret that Yoann Gourcuff has failed to justify the hefty price tag since joining Lyon from Bordeaux, but some promising performances this season are enough to suggest he might be able to rediscover his form.
And seeing as how he is unlikely to be offered a new deal at Stade Gerland, a summer exit appears on the cards.
