Agent: Saviola could leave Benfica in January

Agent of Benfica striker Javier Saviola has failed to rule out the possibility that his client could leave the club in January.

The Argentine striker has lost his place in the side following the arrival of Nolito, but his agent says Saviola is happy at Benfica.

“As a representative of the player, I can say that he did not want to leave, but, on the other hand, it can also happen that he leaves in the winter transfer window, just like any other player,” Diego Queiruga told Radio Renascenca.

“Our relationship with the club is great and I have nothing further to report. He is focused on Benfica and is just thinking about it.

”He is not thinking about winter transfer window, because he is a professional player.”

The 29-year-old forward is reportedly unhappy with his status at La Luz and is looking to leave the club in January.
