Atalanta goalkeeper Andrea Consigli will be joining a top European club, according to his agent.
The 26-year-old has seen his stock rise a great deal this season, with top Italian clubs lining up for his services.
It appears that Atalanta might not be able to keep hold of their prized asset for much longer, as the player’s agent claims big European clubs are after his client.
“I think that Consigli is on the shortlists of the most important clubs in Italy and Europe,” Andrea D’Amico said to Radio Kiss Kiss Napoli.
“There is nothing active at this precise moment in time, but I do know for a fact that there are a lot of teams after him.”
Andrea Consigli has come through the youth ranks at Atalanta, but he had spells with Sambenedettese and Rimini before establishing himself as number one at Stadio Atleti Azzurri d’Italia.
He has made a total of 147 league appearances for the club and developed into one of the most promising keepers in Italy.
Consigli has already opted against extending his contract that is due to expire at the end of the current campaign and he looks set for a lucrative move in the summer transfer window.
