Agent: Vucinic wants to stay

Mirko Vucinic’s agent has revealed that his client doesn’t want to leave Roma despite the speculations linking him with a move away from Olimpico.

A number of Premier League clubs have shown interest in the Montenegro international, but his agent moved to deny transfer speculation.

“I’ve been reading stuff about how Mirko has been performing badly because he wants to leave the club. That’s why I want to clarify his situation,” Alessandro Lucci told Il Corriere dello Sport.

“We met with the club’s directors in January for reasons outside of football. But that’s solved now and Mirko is keen to prove his worth for the squad again.

“He’s feeling very well at Roma and has an ongoing contract. He has never asked for a new and improved deal and it’s absolutely not true that Mirko wants to leave the club. We’ll now have to wait and see what the new owner’s plans are.”
