Juventus chairman Andrea Agnelli has revealed that the Italian club are looking for the next Ronaldo, in an attempt to become the best club in world football within the next few years. Ronaldo’s signing in the summer, which took many by surprise, was considered to be a major step in the right direction for their goal of winning the Champions League. Alas, it turns out that winning the UCL is considered to be the short term goal given that Ronaldo is moving towards the latter stages of his career, and that the long term goal involves bringing star players to The Old Lady at a much youngster age.
They want to build a team that is capable of dominating the competition both domestically and in Europe, to the point where Juve are considered to be one of the greatest teams of all time. Either way, they’re certainly off to a good start.
