Manchester City striker Serguo Aguero continued the impressive scoring run by netting the opener in his team’s 3-2 victory over West Bromwich in midweek, but he has fallen behind Luis Suarez in the goalscoring charts after the Uruguayan notched four goals past sorry Norwich.
The Argentine is now two goals behind the Liverpool striker, and everything suggests the two players will be vying for the top goalscorer title this season.
And while Luis Suarez is the favourite at the moment, being priced at 5/4, it looks as though there is a lot more value in backing Aguero instead at 5/2.
First of all, Manchester City have been and will continue to score more goals than Liverpool, and while that may not necessarily be an advantage for the Argentine, chances are he will have more scoring opportunities than Suarez in the remainder of the season.
On top of that, while Liverpool struggle in the creative department, the Citizens are carving out chances for fun, allowing Aguero to prove his attacking qualities week in week out.
And with Luis Suarez heavily linked with a January exit from Anfield, there is really no point in backing him to win the top goalscorer award when he may not even be playing for Liverpool come February.
Meanwhile, Sergio Aguero is miles in front of all other Premier League forwards and this is likely to prove the most productive season in his career.
