Manchester City forward Sergio Aguero says the team will continue to battle hard in their bid to win the English Premier League title.

The Argentina international believes City can still win the league despite falling three points behind Manchester United in the standings.

And he has promised supporters the team will not stop fighting until the end of the season in their pursuit of glory.

“Why wait until next season if we can win it now? Winning titles is about never giving up and we will never give up,” he told the club’s official website.

“I want to win it this season and then many more after that.

“I can promise you that we’ll be fighting until the very end. We all want to make it, and though it won’t be easy, we believe we can win the Premier League this season.

The former Atletico Madrid forward has netted 24 goals in all competitions during his first campaign in England.

“I was able to adapt quickly to the team and to the Premier League. That was all due to my team-mates, the club and especially the fans,” he said.

“We have had a great season but there is so much more to come from this team. I’ve been told we’ve broken historic records and that’s already an achievement.

“I’ve also learnt it’s important to respect our progress as an on-going process.

“As for moving to England, my family and I feel we’ve adapted really well to living in Manchester and we haven’t been here for too long, either.

“The staff of the club and my team-mates have been very supportive, especially Pablo Zabaleta, who has been here for quite a while.

“Everyone has made us feel like home. We still would like to know the city better and maybe visit the outskirts more, but we don’t have too much free time on our hands.”
