Sergio Aguero is back in the Manchester City starting line-up to face Arsenal, who have new signing Thomas Partey on the bench at the Etihad Stadium.
Aguero has not featured since suffering a meniscus injury against Burnley in June and will lead a City attack also featuring Raheem Sterling and Riyad Mahrez, with Gabriel Jesus remaining sidelined.
Kevin De Bruyne suffered an injury on international duty with Belgium and Pep Guardiola has responded by selecting both Bernardo Silva and Phil Foden alongside holding midfielder Rodri.
Like Aguero, Joao Cancelo makes his first appearance of the season at left-back, with Nathan Ake partnering record signing Ruben Dias at centre-back as Aymeric Laporte is a surprise absentee.
Partey completed a £45million switch to Arsenal from Atletico Madrid on deadline day, although Granit Xhaka partners Dani Ceballos in central midfield for Mikel Arteta’s side.
Xhaka is one of three changes from the Gunners 2-1 win over Sheffield United, replacing Mohamed Elneny as defender Rob Holding and winger Nicolas Pepe come in for David Luiz and Eddie Nketiah respectively.
How we’re lining-up against the Gunners!
Ederson, Walker, Dias, Ake, Cancelo, Rodrigo, Mahrez, Foden, Bernardo, Sterling (C), Aguero
Subs | Steffen, Stones, Gundogan, Torres, Fernandinho, Delap, Garcia
