Aguero set for City stay

Sergio Aguero looks set to remain a Manchester City player, according to the Independent.

The Argentina international’s future at the Etihad Stadium came under scrutiny earlier this season with him struggling with injuries, and with fellow forward Gabriel Jesus coming to prominence.

However, both he and his manager Pep Guardiola have moved to quash speculation suggesting that he could be ready to move on.
The twenty-eight year old bagged a brace as the Citizens thumped Watford 5-0 at Vicarage Road yesterday evening – a result that confirmed their qualification for next season’s Champions League.

His second strike meant that he has hit twenty Premier League goals in three consecutive campaigns and taken his all time tally for the club to one hundred and sixty-nine in two hundred and fifty-three appearances in all competitions.

Despite finishing third this time around, Manchester City are the 9/4 favourites to be crowned champions twelve months from now.
