Aguero set for City stay

ESPN understands that Sergio Aguero wants to stay at Manchester City for the rest of his career.

The twenty-seven year old moved to the Etihad Stadium from Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011 and is regularly linked with a return to the Spanish capital with Atleti’s rivals Real keen on securing a move for his services.

However, he now looks set to stay at City, who will be managed by Pep Guardiola next season.

Since arriving at in England, Aguero has racked up one hundred and eighty-eight appearances in all competitions, scoring one hundred and twenty-four goals – the most famous of which being the strike that sealed the league championship on the final day of the 2011/12 campaign.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side are currently six points behind leaders Leicester City in the Premier League title race, and can be backed at 7/1 to finish the season in first place.
