Aguero wants to finish his career in Argentina

Premier League leaders Manchester City could be set to lose star striker and all-time leading goal scorer Sergio Aguero as the Argentina international wants to return to his boyhood club Independiente to see out his career, according to Sky Sports.

Aguero has been one of the most prolific strikers in Premier League history and recently became the highest-scoring Manchester City player of all time when he netted his 179th goal for the club. The Argentinian is in his seventh season in Manchester and has won two Premier League titles in the sky blue shirt.

Thankfully for City fans Aguero has no intention of leaving before his contract expires in 2019, but his eventual move will be a significant blow for the Premier League giants.

Brazilian forward Gabriel Jesus has already started to step up to the plate in anticipation of Aguero’s departure however and City certainly don’t have any issues in front of goal this season, having scored a remarkable 38 goals in 11 league games so far.
