(GSM) – Ajax are set to bolster their attack with two new strikers: the Dutch side will add Mido and AZ striker Mounir El Hamdaoui to their squad.

De Telegraaf reports Mido will join Ajax on a free transfer from Middlesbrough. At the Amsterdam ArenA he will be reunited with Martin Jol, his former manager at Tottenham Hotspur. The Egyptian striker already played for Ajax between 2001 and 2003.

Ajax is also on the verge of sealing a deal for AZ striker Mounir El Hamdaoui. Both clubs already reached an agreement over a €5 million transfer fee for the Morocco international and now the player has also agreed a deal with the Amsterdam side. The 26-year-old will sign a four-year contract at his new club.

Ajax also want to sign Daniël de Ridder from Wigan Athletic, according to Voetbal International. The 26-year-old winger grew up at the Amsterdam side and moved to Celta de Vigo after two years in the first squad.

He then moved to Birmingham City before joining Wigan where he failed to make an impact. De Ridder spent last season on loan at Hapoel Tel Aviv.
