Eredivisie giants Ajax are set to complete the signing of Brazilian winger David Neres from Sao Paulo, according to De Telegraaf.
The Amsterdammers have reportedly had a €15 million offer for the 19-year-old accepted by his current employers, with the youngster expected to sign a four and a half year deal subject to passing a medical.
Even though all parties have the common goal, Ajax officials face a challenge to finish the paperwork ahead of tonight’s transfer deadline due to the fact that Neres is currently in Ecuador at the Under-20 South American Championship.
Nevertheless, the Amsterdammers will soon make the talented footballer one of their most expensive signings ever, although they do have money to spend after cashing in on Nemanja Gudelj, Anwar El Ghazi, Riechedly Bazoer and Francesco Antonucci.
David Neres has so far scored 3 goals in 8 league outings for Sao Paulo, while he made five appearances for Brazil at the Under-20 South American Championship.
