(GSM) – Both Ajax and PSV got narrow wins on Sunday in order to remain at an acceptable distance from Eredivisie leaders Twente.

Ajax struggled in their away match to ADO Den Haag and knew that all the pressure was on them to perform as Twente had already won their match a day earlier.

Even after a red card to ADO’s Barry Ditewig in the 75th minute, it did not look like Ajax were going to make the difference. However, the Amsterdam outfit finally got the goal they craved as Toby Alderweireld scored the winner in the 90th minute.

PSV had a similar experience in their regional derby with Willem II, in which it took Fred Rutten’s men until the 81st minute for Balazs Dzsudzsak to score the winning goal from the penalty spot.

With four games to go in the Eredivisie, Ajax remain at four points from Twente and PSV follow at another point.
