Ajax Amsterdam join Aston Villa in the next round of the UEFA Cup following a 0-1 win at Hamburger SV on Thursday.

The Dutch scored the only goal of the match through Leonardo with just 13 minutes left to play in north-Germany.

Ajax move into second place with six points from three games, and are certain of a top-three spot in this group. Aston Villa were already through, having won their first two games.

Hamburg are third with two games left, and the Germans still have a decent chance of making it to the next round.
