Ajax have won the first leg of the Dutch play-off semi finals, beating SC Heerenveen 2-1.

Uruguayan striker Luis Suárez put the Amsterdam outfit ahead just after the hour mark, but Gerald Sibon equalized ten minutes later.

In one of his last matches for Ajax, defender and captain Johnny Heitinga scored the winning goal after 76 minutes.

The two teams will meet for their second match on Monday, at the Amsterdam Arena.

The winner of the tie will most probably face FC Twente in the final. Twente beat NAC 3-0 in the first leg on Tuesday.
