Dutch giants Ajax appear to have won the race for highly-rated Fluminense striker Richarlison.
The 20-year-old Brazilian forward who can slot in a number of positions in the final third has enjoyed a superb breakthrough season with the Brazilian powerhouse, scoring 6 goals and recording one assist in 17 appearances in all competitions.
Having been mainly deployed as an attacking midfielder, mostly on the left hand-side, Richarlison also filled in a forward position on a couple of occasions.
The talented teenager has been closely monitored by a number of European sides including the heavy spenders AC Milan, but the latest reports coming from ESPN Brazil suggest that Ajax appear to be closest to securing a deal for the Fluminense forward.
Dutch heavyweights have been involved in intense negotiations with their Brazilian counterparts and an offer around €12 million has been mooted by the Brazilian press.
Ajax are hoping to wrap up a deal by the end of the week.
