Eredivisie champions Ajax have moved to confirm their interest in Twente winger Nacer Chadli.
The Belgian international has developed into one of the best wingers in Dutch Eredivisie over the years and he looks set to leave the Tukkers in the summer.
Chadli has just over a year left on his deal at De Grolsch Veste and club chiefs have no choice but to cash in on him at the end of the current campaign.
The 23-year-old has a long list of admirers, including Juventus and Borussia Dortmund, but Ajax Amsterdam seem to be keen as well.
“We are interested. That’s right. Chadli would fit in well with us,” Ajax sporting director Marc Overmars confessed to De Telegraaf.
The Amsterdammers are set to stay without Siem de Jong and Christian Eriksen, meaning they are determined to sign attacking reinforcements in the summer.
Nacer Chadli has been in fine form ever since he arrived at Twente from AGOVV, managing 24 goals in 82 Eredivisie appearances for the Tukkers.
