Dutch Eredivisie champions Ajax are the latest club to have been linked with a move for Stromsgodset wonderkid Martin Odegaard, according to Voetbal International.
Even if a host of Europe’s top clubs are hot on the trail of the 15-year-old footballer, the Amsterdammers believe their reputation as a perfect club for talented youngsters will help them win the chase.
Voetbal International understands that the player and his family have accepted Ajax’s invitation to visit Amsterdam Arena this winter and get better acquainted with the club and training facilities.
Norway manager Per-Mathias Hogmo, who handed Odegaard his competitive debut in the Euro 2016 qualifier against Bulgaria, also believes Ajax would be a perfect destination for his starlet.
Despite his fragile age, the highly rated midfielder has already made quite an impact at senior level in Norway, having managed five goals and six assists in 21 league outings, while earning two Norway caps.
