Dutch heavyweights Ajax have reopened negotiations with Boca Juniors over a January move for Lisandro Magallan.
The 25-year-old Argentine defender has been on the radar of Ajax for quite some time. The transfer of the defender seemed to be on the cards in May when Magallan even arrived in Amsterdam to complete his medicals but the deal fell through after the two clubs failed to agree on a transfer fee.
According to reports coming from the Telegraaf, the club representatives met again last week to re-open discussions ahead of the winter transfer market.
It is being speculated that Boca Juniors would be willing to accept a €9 million transfer fee, along with bonuses and incentives. The player is hoping the situation would be resolved soon as he is said to be extremely keen on a switch to the Netherlands.
Magallan made 7 Superliga appearances this season for Boca Juniors, scoring one goal during that time.
