Ajax Amsterdam has strengthened its attack with Serbian striker Marko Pantelic.
The 30-year-old international was transfer free after he decided to leave Hertha BSC, last summer.
Martin Jol, coach of the Dutch club, desperately needed an extra attacker because his team depended too much on its star player Luis Suarez.
The last weeks there were rumors about a possible transfer of Blackburn Rovers striker Benni McCarthy and Middlesbrough attacker Afonso Alves to Ajax but the Amsterdam side decided to sign Pantelic.
It’s the second last minute deal for Ajax, earlier today they already retrieved Brazilian midfielder Kerlon (on a loan base) from Inter Milan.
