Dutch media outlet De Telegraaf understands that Ajax are set to sign French forward Yaya Sanogo from Arsenal Football Club.
The talented striker will join the club on a season-long loan, with no buy-out option included in the deal.
Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger was planning to farm out the Frenchman on another loan, with Lille and Ajax vying for his signature.
But, after taking a couple of days to make a decision, Sanogo ultimately opted to join the Amsterdammers and ensure he gets to play Champions League football next season.
Having struggled for regular playing time at the Emirates, as well as during the loan spell with Crystal Palace, the 22-year-old will finally get a good opportunity to nail down a regular starting berth.
Arsene Wenger seems convinced that Sanogo can develop into a high-quality striker and he believes another year away from Arsenal will do him plenty of good.
