Ajax´s Huntelaar out for six weeks

Ajax’s Dutch international striker Klaas Jan Huntelaar will be out for at least six weeks after tearing ankle ligaments in Sunday’s win over Sparta Rotterdam, the club said Monday.

Huntelaar, 25, had a scan on the injury after the game and his loss will be a major blow to Ajax as he was last season’s league top scorer with 33 goals and had hit another six this term.

He is also a key figure in the Dutch attack with Ruud van Nistelrooy having retired from the international scene.
