Al-Ittihad are interested in signing Ederson Moraes from Manchester City this summer, according to the Daily Mail, and they’re apparently prepared to pay a sum of £25 million for his services straight away, with add-ons devised to raise the total transfer fee under certain conditions.
The Brazilian goalkeeper joined City from Benfica in 2017 and has been Pep Guardiola’s first choice between the posts ever since. With 155 clean sheets from 332 games in all competitions, he has certainly played a big role as the Catalan tactician led his team to what can only be described as total domination in the Premier League, with the 2023 Champions League trophy on top of everything else.
However, injury problems kept him out of action in the final rounds of the campaign as City charged towards the sixth league title in seven seasons. The 30-year-old has also been left out of Brazil’s expanded squad for the upcoming Copa America.
