According to ESPN, Al-Ittihad will once again make a move for Liverpool star Mohamed Salah at the end of the season, a year on from their failed attempt to sign the Egypt captain where they reportedly had a €170 million offer turned down.
The Merseysiders already face a summer of extreme uncertainty, with long-serving manager Jurgen Klopp bringing his hugely successful spell at the club to an end. It remains to be seen who ends up in his seat in the Anfield dugout, and Virgil van Dijk has also expressed a dose of uncertainty about his own future at the club.
Salah staying put would surely boost their hopes of maintaining their status as one of the best teams in the Premier League, but with his contract entering its final year, they might be forced to sell to avoid having an unhappy player in their ranks for a season and then losing him for free.
