Alaba close to Real Madrid switch

According to a recent report from Sky Germany, David Alaba’s move from Bayern Munich to Real Madrid could be confirmed as early as today.

The belief is that the defender will sign a five-year deal that will see him earn at least £10 million per year, and potentially even more. He’s been over in Spain since Tuesday looking for a property, and in addition to that, he’s also been checking out the club’s training facilities.

Alaba leaving Bayern is a move that’s been touted for a long old time now but it never seems to be a genuinely feasible idea – if only because he was enjoying so much success with them.

Now, all of the pieces have finally fallen into place, and Real will be getting a player who is still just as hungry to win and succeed as he was when he first broke into Bayern’s first team all those years ago.
